Sponsored by SCI San Diego Chapter (Safari Club International) & The Ranch. Come hang at The Ranch for a weekend and get your kiddos hunter safety certified! This event is free of cost for all families. In order to register, one or more of your children MUST enroll in the hunter safety certification course. There is no age requirement but your kid needs to be able to complete the course and test and properly use a gun. Typically 8-10 is the youngest age, but that is your discretion.

The whole family is welcome and there will be fun for everyone! Dinner is included both nights (Friday & Saturday), we ask you please bring snacks and pitch in for potluck lunches, we will provide coffee and Jocko drinks. Anything will be awesome for potluck lunches each day! We do have refrigerators and all kinds of cooking apparatus’ to use! As for Sunday we will have a reservation at Julian Beer Co for everyone to attend on their way home. That is NOT included in the ticket and all lunches will be on the family’s to purchase.

To attend you will need to bring a tent & all camping gear. No showers are available but we do have an outdoor bathroom and sink.  Overland vehicles are more than welcome! Dry camping in RVs is great too but needs to be 28 feet or under to get in and out of the property easily. We have a drop down option for rv dry camping and limited spaces for that. First come first serve! If you have a larger rig please look into William Heise county park it’s 1/2 mile away.

if you or your family members have food allergies please bring your own food and use our fridge if need be!

Also, please prepare your kiddo and yourselves before arriving with good boots and outdoor clothes & all the layers. This is that time of year up here the temps drop at night and the wind picks up. Please bring warm clothes.

If you or your kid has any allergies to bees or other outdoor elements please bring all medications needed. We are 90 minutes to the hospital.

If it rains we will still be running this program and you may want to find lodging. If that happens we will be sending emails to get it all figured out with you. But, we will do this rain or shine!
