Come learn with our butcher Daylon! You will learn how to butcher and breakdown a whole heritage pasture raised hog! We will use a whole hog as a demo and everyone will be going home with a share of a half hog! You will learn all cuts, how to grind, pack, and know the anatomy. We focus on home butchering and make it all approachable.
This course will start at 9 am and please arrive around 8-830 to park, have some coffee, and get started right at 9 am. We will do a potluck style lunch (everyone please bring something to share), and bbq some of the pork as well! Please wear clothes that are ok to get dirty, an apron is optional, bring a water bottle, bring a cooler to transport the meat home, and get ready to have fun!
