Sign up for our Upcoming Event at The Ranch in Julian

Kicking off the re-opening of "The Ranch" up in Julian, Ca. (formally Cook Pigs Ranch). Don't miss out on this epic collaboration. We are combining forces with all the people and things we love most.

Half Face blades (Andy Arrabito) + C4 Foundation (a percentage of all ticket sales being donated to them) + CJ (pro SD archery instructor & hunter) + Holliday's BBQ (for lunch) + Cook Pigs (Mike Cook will be instructing both breakdowns).

WHEN: FEB. 6TH 2021 8:30 AM-4 ISH PM

AM: You will be coming up the mountain bright and early (possibly snowy/rainy conditions please prepare by having chains, 4WD, cold weather gear.). The first part of the day is learning how to field dress a goat (which will be harvested that morning and closely represents a deer). The Cook fam will be demonstrating while Andy will be talking about what knives they are using and why/how he makes his epic knives the way he does. CJ will also be speaking and walking everyone through the process. It will be an open discussion and hands on experience. Weather permitting it will take place outside but if it is rainy or snowy wwe have multiple barns.

AM-ish: Lunch by the BEST (included). Hollidays BBQ will be bringing their huge smoked and slowing roasting a whole Cook Pigs hog for many hours along with some other proteins too. During lunch CJ will be running some 3D archery shoots in our field.

PM: Whole animal breakdown. Now you'll learn how to not go to a butcher but do all the breakdown yourself. We will be using one of our pigs for this. All of us will be explaining the art and craft of this wor. Mike Cook will be leading. You will be taking home all this meat plus some more we already have packaged for you all. 10-15 pounds on avg. you'll be leaving with.

A portion of all ticket sales will be going to the C4 foundation and all of the board members will be coming to support this event and hang all day!

Bring your bow, boots, truck, and cooler. Let's do this thing!

Please only bring/buy tix for kids who have their hunter safety course completed (12 Y/O). There will be kids of volunteers and family members there (but, in the house and out for lunch) but we do not want young kids there due to safety reasons and for the main reason/purpose of the day... To be present and learn. There will be a lot of moving parts that day so we want to make sure no little ones get into things.

Also, our farmstore on the ranch will be open that day for sales! If you need fresh eggs, honey, meat, or spices we got ya covered.

This whole day will be outdoors. If you are a hunter you are used to social distancing so you know what's up, come have fun, meet other hunters, support the C4 foundation!
